N9 keeps restarting
 

After installing a program called qt( it was supposed to boost the phone) my phone keeps restarting. If I put the usb and connect it to pc...it switches on but stays on lock screen and i can't do a thing. I tried to flash it but I've set it to "mass storage" before so it goes in this mode by itself when I put the usb in...and I read that it is supposed to be in sync mode to flash it...but how can I make it in sync mode when I can't even unlock it and go to home screen...pls HELP

well just switch off your phone, enter the commands to flash and then plug your phone it in...mass storage or what wont matter if your phone is off...

I tried it and something starts to happen...but after a few seconds the window closes and nothing happens. The phone display switches off and the LED lamp is blinking and that's it

well thats because you are not doing it correctly...

open cmd.exe as admin on your pc
cd c:\program files\nokia\flasher
flasher -f -F rootfs.bin -R

once a suitable device is not found message comes up plug in your powered off device to the pc...

a window opens and closes instantly...is it possible that my windows flasher is not good...it is version 3.12.1 I'm pretty desparate...I don't want to take it to the service care because it will take a lot of time i suppose and i don't have other phone i need this one

the window opens and closes as you didn't run cmd.exe as admin first!

Just follow my earlier posts steps and you will run it...

I do exactly as you say and the same happens...I switch off the phone and unplug the usb, than I write the flasher commands and it says "not suitable usb ...something" than I plug the usb and in the cmd window something happens and some text appears and goes down and after 1-2 seconds the window closes but the text goes down too fast so I can't see what is written there...pls help me :(

ok rename your file to rootfs.bin then copy the extracted file from the attached .zip to the exact directory where flasher is located then right click this file and run as admin...

I did what you said and that's what happens...i run the program as administrator and some text appears fast than it stops and it's written "finishing in error state with status 10" and also "ERROR failed to flash image" and upper text says "something terminated with error code 10: security failure" :( i will shoot myself in the head ;(

did you have device lock enabled on your n9? then i'll get you a new one...first confirm it for me...

yes I copied all my pictures and contacts to my pc so.. there is nothing to lose :)

it started to erase it says to wait so i'll wait :) i'll be very happy if this works thank you a lot ;)

it said that erasing is complete and than the same thing as before happend with the same error status 10 and when i turn the phone on only nokia sign appears and nothing else happens it stays like that

You need to rename your files to rootfs.bin and emmc.bin to use the attached...

i renamed the big bin file which is 1 gb to rootfs.bin but which do you want to rename emmc.bin ? RM696_059J204_20.2011.40.4_001_signature maybe this ? it is 4 kb

i renamed the file that i mentioned above to emmc.bin because there was no other bin file except the rootfs.bin so it has to be the other one RM696_059J204_20.2011.40.4_001_signature.bin i started the new program you gave me and it started to erase again

i don't have such file i have n9fanclub.bin which is 1.15 gb and i renamed it to rootfs.bin and i have no other such big file the others are only 1 do 4 kb

No its the 2.78gb file i posted it in the previous post...it will erase and do a full reflash but u are using the wrong file :(

but i don't have it man i downloaded some flashing pack from n9fanclub.com and what was in it was a file n9fanclub.bin which is 1 gb and the other files are from 1 kb to 4 kb i don't have such file which is 2.78 so i'm supposed i have to download it from somewhere

ok i started downloading it and when it's downloaded i'll name it emmc.bin right ? :) and the rootfs.bin which is 1 gb stays like it is :) and than I start the new file full flash and i'll hope :)

its the same thing you can rename it to monkey.bin as long as the full flash file has the correct name...

if there is a way to skip the erasing it will be faster because the erasing lasts too long :)

Edit: File attached...Just to recap, files should be named as rootfs.bin and the 2+Gib file should be emmc.bin...

i suppose that i don't have some files that are neccessary..i'm not sure but what other reason may there be
