Simple and colourful icons for MeeGo.

No elements have been changed only icons, use themechanger to change to this theme

Update 29/09/12 Here is a second Alpha build which works with Theme Settings.

Alpha 3 now rotates homescreen

I have merged SimpleBlue into this theme

Alpha 4 gives users the option to have more Faenza elements, for more information view Faenza thread, please tell me if you want me to remove these elements

Update 01/10/12 Alpha 5 now with fully themed settings icons

Update 02/10/12 Alpha 6 now has themed world gaze icon, theme icon changed in settings and screen rotation can be controlled by HSS

NovaG aren't you the one who did the Metro theme for the n8?


Edit: IIRC NovaG did release an Icons only Metro theme for the n9 too...Can someone confirm? NovaG, why don't you make a full-fledged theme too? It would be nice to have one from you :D

I've experienced same with Kozzi using it with Theme Settings. And I also know that NovaG said, use it with theme changer. So any advice?

I haven't tried it yet so can't advice but ThemeChanger is freely available from Apps4Meego...A download to try this isn't painful right? Maybe do that and report for everyone's good ;)

Its not working on my N9. I have Theme changer and Faenza theme is also installed. But right now I am on Blanco theme. No new theme is being shown in theme changer. Settings>Device>Theme

Will try and get it to work on theme settings for you, but since the N9 is not my main device i wont make a full theme.

I wish there was a GUI for making themes for N9, maybe then i would.

I guess these icons can be added into other themes if they say they came from here, to get a fuller look

Álo, File.. INDEX.THEME is wrong.. you say METRO, must be METATHEME (Type), that's why no load in Theme Charger

In theme changer you have to press fix emotion cache to resolve that problem

Maybe you have an old version

On the version i have of ThemeChanger at the bottom center it says "Fix Emoticon Cache"

Yes. The version on apps for meego is 0.01. On my-meego.com is version 0.02 with the fix emotions. Thank you sir.

Once you start to add more things like the battery meter from fazena and other modifications from SimpleBlue theme, you get the beginnings of a great theme

I applied your alpha version, but the clock icon is still the old one. Maybe because of the live clock tweak. Any confirmation?

I can try and find where the orange colour is set, i cant change third party icons without stuffing up your device.

The reason it says "Example" is i did it in a rush, i will fix it up later on

I have fixed the feeds screen so its no longer orange and now installs as Simplico please try and tell me if it works for you.

NovaG Thanks for this wonderful icon theme! Well, I have noticed that in the latest theme, the battery with green color looks nice but I can't change the color of the operator and clock in Status bar using N9 QTweak. Another thing, there is no landscape orientation in home screen. Thank you. ^_^

many of system appearance tweaks from N9QT are applicable for Blanco only so they wont work on a custom theme...

If you use "Home screen settings" you are able to change to landscape.

If someone knows an easy way to go through the css files let me know then i can change the colours easily for you

Actually I'm using Home Screen Settings. In the first version of Simplico (Icons only), I can change the color of operator using N9 qtweak and no problem in landscape orientation. Well, Thedead1440 is right, many system appearance tweaks from N9QT are applicable for Blanco only. Thanks NovaG!

Most themes inherit blanco, so if i dont theme the elements you want themed it will then theme blanco and show up

Will update the theme and unlock landscape mode for you :)

Yes but the statusbar and all you follow regular blanco .css files but N9QTweak modifies those .css files so since you have the files too it won't follow those from blanco...the .css files here are like meegotouchhome.css...

You can alternatively extract out the scripts from N9QT and see the changes it makes for every tweak so you can use which you want...

I think the Faenza theme has its own statusbar's background instead of modifying the one used by Base theme, perhaps you can whip up something Simplico styled to make the theme more complete :)

BTW I really like the blue background, with Starfield in HSS enabled it looks really nice, and must be my imagination but this combination seems faster (less laggy) compared to Blanco + starfield.
