what to do with my broken n900
so i have an n900 that will cost about 160 dollars to repair. I just recently purchased an N9...not sure what to do with the N900. It is just sitting here

It would be cheaper to get another one... assuming you can find it.
I would donate it if I were you and move on to Android, the sooner you dive into how its coded and etc, the sooner you can begin playing with it like the n900. (and Android is going to have an update soon that will bring the mainline linux kernel or most of it, should be available in version 4.2 otherwise a little later with 5.0 which means traditional C++ programs can run if its got an ARM-port) |

I bought a used one but in a good shape on eBay for less than the equivalent of $150. That was about 3 months ago. If mine were in a condition as you describe then I would offer it FTGH on this forum.
Another obvious option is selling it on eBay as "untested" :) |
