Viber is already out for symbian ( Belle OS ) ..
Is it based on QT, will be able to run on N9 ?

I already asked Viber on Facebook more than 10 times and each time they either told me "It is not planned at this point yet" or "Hello Ahmad, keep your eye on this page :-)"

FYI It's not based on Qt but pure Symbian C++ code.
Build they released is ancient. Somewhere before Symbian Anna code and definitely not optimized for Symbian Belle.
Some of us discussed it with Viber and they aren't interested at all. No improvements for Symbian yet alone a build for Harmattan.
If you want it so badly, you'll have to reverse engineer it and build it on your own from scratch.

so they took 2 years to release a "quarter"(not even half) working app . Without audio calls it' useless and they shouldn't released it ..we should all know how hard wazapp devs are working

Voice calls are not even available on Windows Phone for Viber yet!

1st of all m not even a viber fan...2ndly we got Skype ..we got whatsapp..n most importantly...were on our way to get instagram....once we can upload pics..if u wanna build vibber go ahead..but no one actually uses it.. whatsapp is way better.

Last time I checked Marketplace (yesterday) it said only messaging supported and the reviews surely pointed that out. Have not investigated further...

Perhaps someone may know how to port and compile this to N9 meego.
The Ubuntu community has already been the driving force for some patches (like fb chat problem).
It would be nice if someone could ported Viber for Linux on N9.

I dont know too much about application development, but at the moment viber for linux is 64 bit. N9 runs an ARM architecture, and would need to be recompiled for it as such. Without source I do not believe its possible. If someone could verify what I said is correct that would be great.
