ok i have a white n9
i purchase a full body i guess plastic protector from skinomi or something that like

however i didnt fully install it due to shear frustration with adding the smaller pieces. so i just added the screen protector the back of the phone protecter. Sadly dirt is accumlating around the edges of the back protector. Should i go without and just use the pouch nokia supplied me with? As of right now the phone wont fit inside the pouch because of the screen protectors please advise

the phone is suppose to have durable polycarbonate armour. so will it be fine without?

I also have a white N9 and find that only a screen protector is sufficient. The back of the phone feels better without a protector. I applied a back protector on my phone and removed it because it made the beautiful white look dull and yellow.:D So I would say go without.:)

I've got a megix case off ebay, basically a equivalent of an otterbox. No screen protector, still dont have a scratch on the screen to this day.

Hides the white n9 beauty but has proven worth it from drops and you still see white portions top and bottom. Front is completely black with the case.

I have never used any sort of screen protector or back-cover, and my N9 is still like-new, so I say go RAW DAWG!

Honestly, I just put the phone in my front right pocket, put my wallet and keys in the left pocket, and I'm good to go.

I haven't had a drop (thank goodness), so there is a risk, but the device just feels so good when it's uncovered.

i only use the black leather pouch that came with it
looks outstanding, guess/hope it achieves decent protection in case it drops from a reasonable (human) height
but i don't use it as my primary (still got my N900 for that :D) so i guess i don't have to answer calls, which would be totally unpractical
then again, if N9 was to become my primary (very unlikely) i would use my wired headset (Nokia WH-103) & use the answer button on that...

Eeeak...you don't ned screen protector for n9 org, but the plastic cover you can keep till you get used to your phone.
I guess after 6-8month your phone cover the polycarbonate will crack around camera lens...at phone shop told me that, at it is bad symptom for this n9 models.
My N9 is always naked and atracted to wirelles networks!:)

I have a white N9 also, and I prance around proudly with it totally naked.

Why hide shamefully its beauty. I say to the world, look at my white shiny thing. And the people around me lust for what I have.

I know its the first instinct to protect your precious, but I think its more durable than it feels in hand. Mine looks still as stunning as when I first whipped it out.

So... Go naked.

I ditched the silicon case after 3-4 weeks of use. Sadly, it had already caused some weird color distortions to the back. Now that the phone is older, I don't really care. I don't think the phone needs any protection..

lol after i took the back protector off i dropped the phone and now the metal plating has a scratch lol. I am just going to keep the phone in the pouch when not in use. That should be good enough

if your going naked take care for gods sake, ive damaged my case a little bit and scratched my screen pretty badly, if the screen is on full brightness its not noticeable but its there, but it just looks so much better without a case

Naked, if you are clumsy you can always buy a new device, if your not,you can feel the lovely nakedness.

Main phone here for 12 months, naked for about 90% of the time, no cracks. Some scratches on the silver plate&buttons, some barely visible on the screen, broken usb door. 1-2 falls from bed to rubber floor. No dents on the polycarbonate, except one very small on the bottom back edge.

i left the screen protector on. I can deal with scratches anywhere on the device except for the screen itself

I agree. I regret using the case supplied with the phone because now it has stained the polycarbonate back and I cannot get rid of the discoloration it has caused. I've had it on my phone since Nov. last year. The backup I purchased will never see a protector of any kind. My screen is still scratchless and I never used a screen protector. Hope this helps :)

I'm using a black 64gb...But yeah Singapore does have white n9...I have seen a few but I prefer the black as I'm an abuser of phones :D

I'm not sure if they still have it...I thought you meant Singapore got the white n9 too...Yes vivocity had it but at this moment I think its unlikely they still have it...At the time they had it someone told me it was pretty at the back already so now I don't think its even on display...That person bought it for $749...

Now you have to find it in 2nd-hand mobile shops...They might sell for ~$600+

before this, i never had any protection on my previous devices, considering about how hard to find the parts and how many times my 3 years old son drop it to the floor (my N8 has bends all over the edges because of him), and because i got this beauty for free, so i decided to wearing it the in-box protector.
No screen protector cause i think you cant feel the real swipe with it.
But still, brake the USB door twice :)
