Scratchbox offline ?

The scratchbox.org site and its repositories seems to be down.
Does anybody know if that is temporarily (that site was Nokia sponsored) ?
Is there a mirror of the data on Scratchbox.org somewhere?

I was wondering too :(
Does somebody know of a mirror?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scratchbox

Unfortunately, it seems another one bites the dust thanks to Mr E :(
EDIT : interesting that both PowerPC & MIPS targets are experimental...could that mean Nokia was working on something based on these platforms?

Scratchbox2 is an active project.

Re: Scratchbox offline ?

Can Scratchbox2 replace the Scratchbox?
How would the Debian packages be named?

I can not belief that there seems to be no mirror at all, but even after intensive search, I could not find one :(

Maybe someone still has the packages in the apt-cache?

I hat to remove Scratchox to upgrade my Kubuntu, and now I can not install it again :(
Well, I still have a disk image of the old installation, so as a last ressort I could reload that one and rebuild the deb packages, I think that is somehow possible. But for sure not the nices way... :(

I'm not sure if anyone used it for Maemo. I know it's being used for Mer as a cross compilation tool.

In general it's probably a good idea to switch to Mer anyway, since it's an active way forward, comparing to Maemo itself.

I still use it quite often to pack my Python Harmattan pacages.
Its way faster than upload them to the OBS-Buildserver.

I can confirm that it works now again ;)

So finally harmattan-dev is back online and I am trying to set up the Harmattan SDK with the harmattan-sdk-setup.py script. It fails when downloading scratchbox. Anybody know how to work around this?

Re: Scratchbox offline ?

sadly scratchbox has again gone offline :(

Hence the fail while downloading...

I saved all needed files, but it's 4GB :-/
And we need to edit the harmattan-sdk-setup.py script....

If needed, I can put them onto my DiskStation. It is usually always online. Hasnt a too fast upload but plenty of space...

But I dont know what is needed to make it to a Debian repo...

Hi all, I cannot finde the tarball files for download. Need a little help.
"scratchbox-core-1.0.27-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-libs-1.0.27-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-devkit-qemu-0.13.90-0rabbit1-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-devkit-debian-squeeze-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-devkit-hashutils-squeeze-sdk-1.0.12-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-devkit-perl-1.0.5-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-toolchain-host-gcc-1.0.27-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-toolchain-cs2009q3-eglibc2.10-armv7-hard-1.0.24-18-i386.tar.gz",
"scratchbox-toolchain-cs2009q3-eglibc2.10-i486-1.0.24-12-i386.tar.gz"

@Schturman: Write "Filename: dists/parse/main/binary-i386/<filename>" in your "Packages.gz" and apt-get will do the install. Your jump "Filename: binary-i386/<filename>" ist too short ;-). Good instruction.

@coderus: Thank you for the binaries.

Re: Scratchbox offline ?

Either my ISP is doing censorship, that i wont believe easily, or the site is again down (or something else is wrong with my connection, i resolve it to 80.248.164.245 -- i tried to change nameserver too).

Thanks @coderus for providing a mirror.

Just to be on the safe side, could somebody else too provide MD5 sums for the files they mirrored. Here is MD5 sums for the files provided by coderus http://pastebin.com/QpEWc1bV

And comment to @Schturman -- thanks for the pdf, i think one does not need the tarballs if system has apt-program: see harmattan-sdk-setup.py:5796

BTW: did somebody also mirror the scratchbox sources ? :)

Re: Scratchbox offline ?

Hi,

i checked the MD5, they seems to fine for all the files. Files 'arm-public-sdk-rootstrap.tgz' and 'i386-public-sdk-rootstrap.tgz' do not have MD5 sums on @brkn lists (i did ask md5 for deb files only ..), but one can see the md5 directly from http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/d6.php, and they are also fine.

Thanks brkn and coderus! thumbs up!

Here is small perl-script for easy checking of the sums, if feeling paranoid like me :)

susundberg 2012-12-10 06:59

Re: Scratchbox offline ?

I did post reply but it went to 'waiting for moderator to approve' or similar.

The outcome was anyway that the @coderus md5 sums did match with the ones from @brkn posted. The root images were not included on the brkn list, but i compared the checksum against sums nokia provides and again all matched.

So thanks @coderus again for mirroring and thanks for @brkn to help for the validity check.

Hello guys,
I had I problem with my linux machine so I lost my Maemo 5 SDK as per scratchbox.org is offline I downloaded all the files @ "http://thecust.net/nelisquare/hathor-sdk/i386/" which coderus pointed us and installed all files manually but just quick question what about the rootstrap where should I place?
Am I doing this right?
Any ideas for the offline installation for fremantle?
P.s
I've tried Schturman method but no lucky.
Appreciate any help
Regards
Bruno

Re: Scratchbox offline ?

put the rootstrap in /tmp/. I think that is where the installer looks to see if it needs to re-download.

http://thecust.net/nelisquare/hathor-sdk/

Of course, if harmattan-dev is online, you don't need to do this manually.
