i have the repository installed, how come my app manager is not showing the update ??

It cant save the user agent setting, everytime need set again

The volume buttons should probably control media volume rather than calls/alerts while the browser is open, as they do with media players, etc. Currently, to change the volume of sound in videos or on a webpage, you have to swipe out of the app and use the menu.

hey, nice work ! ui looks pretty good

2 things though:

if the ui is shown and the keyboard is up the two icons (history and downloads) at the bottom go up as well and overlap with the ones on top in landscape mode

and another thing s that if you delete an URL the keyboard then goes capital for the first letter (looks like "Www.something.com" then)

just some input ;)

edit: ah and the ui is kinda hard to activate (maybe double tap would be better than long press? idk)

Really great progress so far. Thanks to coderus for UI and the whole crew working on internals too.

Wishlist:

• include a dropdown list with a few predefined user agents for quick changing (additional to the manual editing of course)
• add a way to copy/paste in page content
• maybe add a way to search in page content
• ability to add bookmarks, either the grob way or mozilla way. I like the grob way, but it's not very crossplatform compatible.
• add a default local start page with google searchfield and most recent pages, have a look at Androids Firefox. Add on that page an hint how to show the UI.
• urlbar should be able to be used as searchbar, like in desktop client

Bugs:

• icons are overlaying each other when VKB is shown, especially in landscape mode. Maybe rearrange them as soon VKB is shown
• couldn't get the filepicker to actually pick a file in several image upload services (abload, imgur, imageshack)
• after opening a new window and closing it again, the first window is stuck in portrait mode
• VKB should always start with small letters

looking good so far, I like it. I do agree with the above comments from Morpog. One extra function, that I'm not sure on why it changed, tabbed browsing? I remember this being in an early build (or was it before the QmlMozBrowser fork), but the present build mimics the stock browser's behaviour. Is tabbed browsing something that will be revisited in the future?

• custom user agent still not saveable :(
• long tap to bring out menus doesnt always work
• cannot bring vkeyboard on some occassion with empty field, leads to crash

wishlist:

• is it possible for..
• mozilla sync?
• mozilla add-ons?

Can enable text wrapping via about: config as in opera mobile ?

Awesome work. Scored 413 on HTML5 test. I've seen only BlackBerry10 browser as better with 485.

http://get.webgl.org crashes the browser after opening. (the webgl cube appears but the crash occurs)

Is it possible to add gpu acceleration to the rendering or does it already have that capability?

opera mobile, after zooming ,wrapp text on screen size of n9.
You can compare both browser, after toggle "Text wrapping" to "on" in opera mobile (Setting->Text wrapping - on)

There is different experience in opera and firefox, you can't compare them.
I can make only minimum font bigger, to make full length line readable at minimum zoom (when line filling screen width fully)
