Has anyone managed to turn stock twitter app to dark theme? Or could anyone advise me where the required settings could be?

EDIT : So Coderus has succeeded in themeing the app as per plan and also has made the qml files available, possible to further edit as you wish.

Incept install the following deb file to replace stock client with new theme,

New on April 7th : I have added a few tweaks and improvements in the files. It is available from https://github.com/anandbibek/twitter-harmattan

To use, first incept install coderus deb, then download my files and put/replace in /usr/share/twitter folder.

Changes : Loads of UI improvements, Better icons, (launcher iccons not improved yet), fixed timeline alwys jumping to beginning on page changes, added an option to "Quote retweet" on long press in tweet. It'd allow you to edit before retweet.

Hope there are no bugs.

only Install if you have already upgraded to latest twitter update

That's Accounts UI. Not the app. :(

If i edit the file, then Twitter will no longer start. File can not be read, or something.
I opened the file with a HxD, and I put the modified file back to the phone.
What else should I do?

File seems to be something of higher authorization demanding.(ariadne):confused:
Or maybe this is something more complicated. :D

MK99, most executables are protected by aegis.
If you will try to run modified executable - aegis won't let you do this.

To run modified executables you must update their checksum with refhash.pl script (search it on TMO) or repack debian package with new executable and install it.

need to patch twitter-qml to load qml from disk and pack to deb.
i did 80% but my phone dead after new ubiboot-02, fixing now =)

You can modify /opt/twitter-local files

Install with inception/openmode ways
May not work from events feed (need repackaging to twitter-qml package, if you want you can do it self)

Does the new twitter have the bug of not loading old tweets? Or it is caused by the themeing?
I dont see any changes that'd cause the bug. Maybe it is broken since update.

Can someone check by going to end of timeline and pulling up. Does it load older tweets?

Efion, refreshing works fine for me. There's a mechanism that disables refreshing if you do it too quickly, (it's buggy though)

What twitter has bugged up in new update is that timeline dsnt load old tweets, whereas mentions do. CONFIRMED.

How the hell they manage to introduce new bugs in every update. *****s

EDIT : Suddenly worked once, but not again. Bugs... Bugs everywhere...

@bibek there is Qt property timelineview_more_tweets_available which have issues. I can't do anything with it. If i try to override it, it caused Segfault :)
