Hey guys,
The latest official version is now v0.7.6 (available on the ppsspp.org website).
For automatic builds of the latest git, see http://www.qtness.com/ppsspp.html

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

Edit: No, it works without that folder.

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

I created a folder named PPSSPP in MyDocs and copied some games (cso) like age of zombies, metal slug anthology, wipeout pulse and megaman maverick hunter x. None of them worked, all crashed the app right after choosing the file. Any idea ?

Thanks for the harmattan version.

recluse 2013-04-13 17:57

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

Were they all .CSO? Might be a bug with that filetype. I only have .ISO and .PBP games.

Thanks for the harmattan version.

I also tried with some iso files but same result. They all work in Windows though.

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

This is odd. No one can get it working?
I usually run it straight from QtCreator but I uninstalled everything, deleted PPSSPP folder, installed it with `dpkg -i` and ran it and all my games worked perfectly.
So not sure what is going on there.

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

Edit: Found the issue. Will reupload.
Ok, now download again. It will create the folder if it didn't already exist.

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

what is it? is an emulator? of what?
can you add more info?

recluse 2013-04-14 02:13

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.4

It is a Playstation Portable emulator. It plays PSP games.
It opens .ISO, .CSO, .PBP, .PRX files.
It's written with Qt 4.7.

I really like the normal icon :P

tested a few roms... Little big planet is unbearably laggy, and jetpack joyride works ok..

any tips on minimising lag?

zaidk9 2013-04-14 12:03

Where can i download the games??
Thank you
What a ui!!!!
Love it!!!

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.5

Updated to v0.7.5.

You can't do anything about that lag. Just have to wait for the emulator to improve.

Little Big Planet doesn't work on any device yet. It has lots of graphical bugs.

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.5

Well, there's this list: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread....d=6892#pid6892

But not all games will work on this device due to the low VRAM and weak GPU.

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.5

God of War is extremely GPU intensive. It won't be playable on N9 at all.

download:

Re: PPSSPP v0.7.5

v0.7.6 is quite old. It was released same time as other v0.7.6 builds.

Github builds are automatically built and shown at: http://qtness.com/ppsspp.html

Re: PPSSPP Automatic Builds

I'm sorry to say I will be selling my Nokia N9 soon as someone has made a generous offer on it and the phone otherwise just collects dust right now. There seems to be only a handful of people using my Meego Harmattan port compared to the thousands using the Symbian and BB10 one. Also, the GPU (SGX530) of the N9 really isn't fast enough to run PPSSPP games so the emulator isn't much use for this platform.

I will continue posting automated builds on my website but after I sell the device I probably won't be able to test if they are working properly. I will fix compile errors that prop up though.

Thanks for the builds you've done and thanks for still keeping building for us. Too bad you're selling your N9 though, while sailfish is just around the corner, i'm sure they will port it to the N9, you could have maybe even have more fun with that os aswell.

anyway, please don't leave the community though, there are plenty of users who will gladly help to test the builds! :)

Re: PPSSPP Automatic Builds

recluse, can you please help us?

The new builds of ppsspp doesn't work on the N9 anymore.
The latest working version is:
PPSSPP-v0.8.1-39-gf93de8b.deb

after that version it gives the following error when try to run PPSSPP:
Code:

I: ../native/file/zip_read.cpp:227: I: Registered VFS for prefix : /home/user/MyDocs/PPSSPP/
I: ../UI/NativeApp.cpp:249: I: Logman: 0x1fc72080
Segmentation fault

I hope you can fix this somehow, thanks!

I'm having issues getting games to work. PPSSPP recognizes that there is a game and displays an icon for it, but i keep getting a missing key error when i try to play it. What am i doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe this game is not yet supported or unsupported at all.

I tried several, and they were all on the supported list linked several posts ago.

Sorry I dunno why. Try older build. Clear local settings etc.
