The site's using Flash, so using Firefox with Flash Player installed it might work, depending on the version they need. Performance may not be very good though.

Then it's likely the site wants Flash 11 (the N9's version uses Flash 10.1). It may be possible to edit the version number internally, as some people did on the N900 - try searching the N900's forum threads on Flash to see what I mean. There is no guarantee of this working, though.

N9 is very bad phone for me, u can see live stream with any moble cheaper then Nokia N9. but N9 no live streaming. Nokia company going to down because they not want Care for Nokia Users. my next mobile will not Nokia.

I think he is talking about rstp streaming:) those with .sdp or .ram links
n900 also dosent do it but symbians even s40 play them in the media player
someone should look into it

Some of the streams seems to be working in Firefox.
I would not call it usable but it works

I just checked extracover.net on Galaxy S2, but it does same thing like N9

Maybe that site uses Windoze specific technology

first of all N9 isn't a fail . And second if the livestream is flash based try fennec and if it's html5 try default browser or qmlmozbrowser . And if it's ms proprietary you can't watch it and rtsp links should workd in default player and if they didn't there is Mplayer wich should work . But anyway livestream on mobile devices isn't that great experience .

i think adobe flash player 4.0.0-73.1 not supporting,
why company no upgrading adobe flash player,
because now nokia not care about N9 users.
& many app not available yet for N9 .

N9 doesn't have Flash 11 (it only has 10, which is the '4.0.0-73.1' in the Store), but any Android device you can install/sideload Flash onto does (bear in mind, even Android is phasing out Flash. It's not just on the N9).

As I said before, if you want that specific site working your only real chance is to 'fake' Flash 11. Try looking at the more recent posts on this thread for N900, they've got some sites working.

Something similar should work for the N9, providing the site isn't actually using anything Flash 11-specific.

Well BBC is working nice on my N9 :cool:

An other option is looking for 'mms://' links :D

There is also the app 'Tv Player' which is using this links on Maemo 5...

the protocol used at extracover is rtmp and you could use rtmpdump to load it into mplayer. I tried looking for correct parameters but failed (could get a working session ip), if you really want to watch this stream you could ask in http://stream-recorder.com/forum/ for correct parameters to use in rtmpdump.

Nvm I got it, It needs newer version of rtmpdump than the one found in rzr repo though (+2.3). N900 users with the latest rtmpdump and mplayer installed can paste this into terminal and enjoy the stream :)

Do you have N900 ? If yes, check this thread and install rtmpdump + librtmp0

If not then follow that thread for possibly an N9 version, when available install them. Now with rtmpdump and mplayer:

Now with all installed, go to terminal and paste everything in the qr code and wait for the video to stream.

- N9: Sorry this method needs rtmpdump version 2.3 and up so you will have to wait for someone to compile one for N9.
- The code (picture) I posted is qr code and you can read it on your phone using CodeCam or any Qr Code reader you can find. Reading the code will gives you a long text which is the command to be put into the terminal.
- Terminal: if you don't know what is it, google. Otherwise go to Settings-Security-Developer mode and enable this to have Terminal on your homescreen. There is no need to leave this mode enabled to have Terminal, you can search the forum more about this.

So for now, sorry there's not much you can do unless you compile rtmpdump yourself.


Twitch.tv seems like a difficult one, it needs usertoken which rtmpdump support (from version 2.4, I don't which version is available for N800) but one have to get it manually. Do you have a specific channel you want to watch ? Better yet you should ask in in stream-recorder for correct parameters to use with rtmpdump.

Friend i know about terminal and now its clear also for picture, i will read code and past in terminal, but i dont know about what is rtmpdump version 2.3 so need more help from you and other freinds, cause want live stream from www.extracover.net in nokia N9 .
watching live streaming in galaxy-y from same link, www.extracover.net only installed adobe flash player 11, galaxy-y is 3 times cheaper then nokia N9 , still Nokia N9 not able to play. Thanks.

oh well you can read more about rtmpdump here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rtmpdump
The site you posted require this one tag -C to send a OK-string to the website. This tag is not available in rtmpdump 1.9, therefore currently on N9 you can't use rtmpdump to pass the video to mplayer for playback. Without the need of flash player and a browser to watch video, this is a smoother way to play stream videos. This method is used on most of those unofficial live-tv apps on androids and ios. The problem is ofcourse having to sniff the correct information to put into the application for the video.
Still if you have galaxy-y and it can view the video then I suggest you use it to watch the stream and do not have to bother with this method. It's the most useful when you want to save the video or not having flash player.

It looks as though rtmpdump was never compiled for Diablo.

The only channel I was hoping to watch is called ChessNetwork.

I figured that even if the stream was as low as 5 fps, it still would be easily viewable for me.

You mean downloading the whole stream onto computer and then use knots to watch it on the device ? If yes well it's doable but I don't know whether it is worth the trouble because you could just watch them from youtube.

Required would be Flash version 10.2, actual version is 10.1.105.6 only.
Or is there another F1 live stream that works on N9?
