[Solved] Can't access talk.maemo.org from N9

This includes the site in stock browser and Opera.
I also cannot update the RSS feeds i have setup from TMO for some forum topics.
Any idea what can be wrong?

you mean my mobile carrier? if yes, doesn't have to do with this, i am using wifi. plus all other sites/links/rss feeds work fine, except the ones for TMO..

ping: bad address 'talk.maemo.org'

not good sign..

Just also now noted that i have same problem with "http://conversations.nokia.com/" site (i.e., cannot open site, cannot get rss feeds).

Does it have to do with some certificate? Is it coincidence that both addresses do not begin with www?

do the following and post the outputs:

Code:

cat /etc/resolv.conf
cat /var/run/resolv*
/sbin/route

I suspect your nameservers are causing the issue

Restart your router :D

Can this be router? I mean, it just picks up some addresses, most of them work fine.
In any case, I am under company wifi, so i cannot just restart it :)

Re: Can't access talk.maemo.org from N9

If restarting your router didn't help type the following:

Code:

echo `nameserver 127.0.0.1` > /etc/resolv.conf
Then try again

I cannot restart router, i am under company network.
Anyway, I will give it a try at home, maybe this is our intranet issue.

Connect to 2G/3G manually and then try again.

If it works then, the problem is in your companies WiFi... maybe they blocked it, because you were accessing it to often ;)

yes it works like a charm!!!
but i am very curious why they would block access to this page from the wifi, while allowing it on the wired internet.. strange people :)
