I don't quite know if this is a good idea. The whole European market is going to move to China if we continue this way... |

Re: Huawei wants to buy Nokia
I can only imagine it's the camera technology and/or patent portfolio they're interested in.
Surprisingly straight talking about Windows Phone though, it's quite refreshing that he didn't feel the need for weasel words. |
Re: Huawei wants to buy Nokia
So they want to buy Elop along with Nokia or they want to play safe?

Re: Huawei wants to buy Nokia
Viva China!!! LOL
But, seriously, M$-Nokia leads to nowhere. The whole philosophy of once the greatest mobile phone company isn't compatible with Windope OS. Steven "Trojan horse" Flop did his job nicely. And, these rumours could just turn out to be quiet true. Same happened with Lenovo buying IBM's PC branch. Who would've thought back then? Nobody. |

No N10 or N11 sorry ...
http://news.yahoo.com/huawei-might-c...184623713.html { NEW YORK (Reuters) - Chinese network equipment and cellphone maker Huawei Technologies Co said it "has no plans to acquire Nokia", responding to a Financial Times report that it would consider buying the Finish phone maker. The denial came from Huawei's vice president for external affairs, Bill Plummer. The story on the FT website on Tuesday had quoted the head of Huawei's consumer business, Richard Yu, as saying: "We are considering these sorts of acquisitions; maybe the combination has some synergies but depends on the willingness of Nokia. We are open-minded." Nokia declined comment. Nokia's U.S. shares closed up 17 cents or more than 4 percent at $3.86 on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock had risen as high as $4.12 after the report. } |
