No ip address?

Hi All,

Im trying to use winScp, ive used it many times before. Though now when i use the command netstat -t, my phone does not show an ip address. I have the ssh client / server installed. Do I need something else?

Thanks in advance.

Re: No ip address?

What device are you using?
Because in N9, you only have to open "SDK Connectivity"--> WLAN and you will see an IP Address there to use.
If you're using N900, then I don't know

But please people, tell us which device is being used.

Re: No ip address?

ok,

netstat -t is to list tcp type connection
netstat -r is to show routing table.

So it seems you would not have any tcp connection opened or active.

You can try netstat -u to see if you have udp connection listed

Re: No ip address?

ah yes, my bad, i have the same :)

But for your netstat -t, can you open web browser to any site and retry?
You should then have active tcp conneciton listed

Re: No ip address?

1. netstat -t doesn't show your IP address, at least not directly. read man netstat.
2. same goes for netstat -r
3. ifconfig doesn't need root, just run /sbin/ifconfig and find your IP address.
4. don't install sudser.
