This is apparently happening. Don't know what to make of it. |
Re: Nokia and alternative android
Nothing official, but it would be good news for Android users, as they'll be able to buy the first actual proper phone ever ;-)

Re: Nokia and alternative android

Re: Nokia and alternative android

Re: Nokia and alternative android
Just as the first L800 protos were RM-696 boards.
It makes no difference, a proto/concept is not the real thing. |
Re: Nokia and alternative android

Here's a pic by Evleaks. Notice the left pic with Swipe UI standby screen. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bdd1OWuCIAQN_Ue.jpg NokiaPowerUser is claiming that Normandy is being made by a Nokia team that wont transfer to Microsoft. Unfortunately NPU is nowhere near as a solid source as Evleaks. |

You have been taken on for a ride, wake up guys!
There is no NMP any longer, the deal is done MS owns the whole barrel that's left. Now try convincing me that Microsoft is even playing around with Android, good luck! |

http://www.economist.com/news/busine...worlds-biggest It would be kind of weird if they would not, thinking they have one the biggest hurdles, patents in better control than pretty much any other company dealing with wireless devices. Main problem with that has just been that most of us think that knowhow will be directed towards accessories, internet of things or wearable tech, not mobile phones.I do believe that's the case still. Even so it would not be hard to believe Nokia is thinkering about Android device under Nokia Research, that's not moving under MS. |
Nokia makes everything beautiful :') Nokia's UI is the best for android haha
