Hey guys, I'm having a problem with camera app, well it doesn't work (none of camera app is working - native camera, camera+, panorama) .

Try start it or any camera application from terminal and post errors.

I am not sure if same stuff is filling your phone.
Post outputs of same codes that I did.
And use copy/paste screenshots are hard to read.

Hmm Your thumbnails is using 250000 inodes and mine is using only 100000 You might want to clean those but thats not whole problem.

Check with filemanager whats in /home/user/.cache/data/ folder. I dont have anything there but yours takes 170000 inodes.

in /home/user/.cache/data/ folder: I have two folders inside twitter and twitter-meego. Twitter meego-folder contains only one file called twitter-cache.db and it's size is 1.29 mb, in "twitter" folder I have a lot of subfolders, with pictures I can't even open because they are damaged...

About .tumbnails folder, can I just delete all folders in this .tumbnail folder?

Can this affect the operation of the phone itself or other apps (maybe the contacts pictures)?

Just asking, because I've never done this before, and I want to be careful :)

I think you should delete twitter folder. I dont think theres any harm.

About thumbnails I think phone and applications will generate new ones when needed. If you look them you will find strange stuff, old facebook profile pictures and so on so its good to clean it sometimes.

Hi Friends,

I have a nokia N9 and i have been experiencing this problem of "Camera not responding. Please .......". I have tried everything listed here but i can't seem to get it to work.

Am sure my hardware is OK since no one has ever tampered with it. I flashed the device twice now, but still, the primary camery won't work.
My secondary camera works ok with no problems. I even reinstalled the camera from terminal, no changes. Tried using 3rd party softwares to access it but no success either.

Please assist me, will appreciate. Am not sure what I've not done.

Hi, any1 with anything i use to identify the problem? btw, I noticed that the red led light near the camera lights when rebooting. Also, the secondary camera works great.

Kindly, give me an idea or someway of fixing this.

I had this very same problem when I flashed my N9 first time. I solved it by enabling the GPS from Phone settings. I had manually disabled GPS.

Every time I started the camera app, it'd try to enable GPS for geo tagging and would fail, which I guess resulted in the not responding error. Later on, I'd enable GPS, open camera app and then disable geo tagging first. I would then proceed to manually disabling GPS from phone setttings.

Hi, sometimes when I try to open camera app I get the error "Camera not responding", but it looks like it's related to a Cutetube bug which occurs while trying to close the app by swiping down in fullscreen mode.
Performing "killall cutetube" in terminal solves the camera issue for me..

Just tried flashing now after it completely crashed, it just shut down, and when I try to boot, it is stuck at nokia. Won't boot at all. I have tried and enabled rd mode but that hasn't fixed this. Am not sure whats wrong with my phone. The sim tray am using is new hence my product code is can not be seen, on the other hand, nemesis won't detect my phone so as to read the product code neither does Nokia Software Updater. Is there an alternative way to know what my Product Code is? Kindly assist.

Unfortunately if flashing the device fails to mend the problem you are facing a real possibility that your device has a HW fault. :(

I do second that. :(

(Did you flash also eMMC? Not that I think it makes any difference, but to be on the safe side. If that also fails, HW failure ...)

Yes, I flashed the firmware first, saved my data and then the emmc.
Something funny happened though, when I flashed the firmware, all things were intact (msgs, call logs n contacts) unlike what I had expected - thought a firmware flash would delete anything like messages, contacts etc. Is this proper?

meanwhile - I will check my hardware...thanks..

A firmware flash only flashes firmware (i.e. rootfs).
User data on /home and eMMC stays intact.

Please flash both files together!

Holy moly, I went and deleted the twitter folder in /home/.cache/data and now it seems to be working! ..and fixed just about every other issue I previously had!

I hope this helps others too
