New SailfishOS images
 

Hi all,
I need to send my Jolla device in for repair at some point (reboot issue and discolored area on screen) and was hoping to make the service period as painless as possible by dual booting my n9 with sailfishOS, copying over ~ from the jolla and having a identical device (except for android support) without having to import/export contacts, messages calender etc.

However as far as I can tell from the ubiboot site 1.0.2 is the newest image available for the n9, is this true or are there newer images out there?

This is unfortunately true, there are some issues that have not been solved yet (mostly due to the notorious not-enough-time reason)

"soon" there will be a new image of SailfishOS 1.0.8.21 with fixed display rotation.

filippz fixed some bugs and now it works! locusf is going to do an image of that work.

It's out already, I got it on my N9.

But I can't really recommened it yet, it's slower as old releases and has some fixes from older releases (like battery charge status) not included yet. Better wait till there a a few polished versions released. Could be also that the new kernel needs more improvements, but not sure about that.

Battery status works for me. Simcard doesn't work. Lots of visual problems (e.g. in Tutorial).

Update: got SimCard functional, but dial app and messaging apps doesn't work for me. Thanks to fillipz, sound can be enabled too.

What is their difference?
I found difference is on sfa and sfe in path, but both images have same size and same name and upload time.

What is the second image (sfos-n9-extra-devel-10112014.tar.bz2) on both paths? It is older and has smaller size.

As I can see at http://www.merproject.org/logs/#sail...12-11.log.html, sfa and sfe are actually the same directory, so the contents are the same. It seems that "sfa" was a spelling mistake in the first place.

I'm not sure about the -extra-devel package, but it seems to be an older image from SFOS development packages.

Can we add dalvik package manually....

Because i was added telephony on Sailfish OS 1.0.2.5

When i try to open it said that searching dalvik package form store.
but it said that not found.

Then i researched on internet and found that dalvik package is available Only for Sailfish OS 1.0.4 or Later Versions..
