N9 is not booting up. Help Needed please.

Hello, yesterday i flashed my n9 successfully and installed unrestricted system ui and few apps of daily usage from nokia store and warehouse.

today when i was using whatsup, and i locked screen by power key, but after that n9 never turned on. I thought battery is low, so i charged for four hours, white LED is breathing while charging.

but still it didnt turned on, so i dig up TMO and found threads about battery drain below 11%, so i tried with flasher, and instead of charging it directly flashed my cell, coz battery was charged up to 92% already, does not matter it flashed, but still it does not turn on.

when i connect it to pc, it is detected by pc, but no sign of life in it, when i press and hold power key when connected, while LED turns on for few seconds and PC makes sound like connecting and disconnecting. and it goes to dead end again. and LED breathes like its charging.

after flashing ,it once showed nokia logo when i tried volume up+ powe key and again dead.

I could not find any other solution except flashing and removing battery. If any can help it would be great.

EDIT:

After trying again again rebooting, i heard nokia sound of booting up, but screen was off..then i installed sim tray with my sim card, and ringed from other cell, it voila, it vibrated while ringing and still screen is off...now issue is with my screen i think, but im very careful user, i never dropped or let anything happened to my beloved n9.. Any thought on this?

I would open it up and and make sure there aren't any loose connections to your screen. If everything looks fine inside, your screen might have just given up the ghost unexpectedly. You might just have to purchase a new screen.

Yes i dont mind opening it, though sometimes it shows nokia logo at startup so im sure screen is working, but after that instead of any screen it just turns on..i can call to it,it vibrates. So yeah, i will try opening, and check. Thanks for reply.

Re: N9 is not booting up. Help Needed please.

Hello again. I tried to open and re fitting everything perfectly as shown in video on youtube. But still its not booting up. now when connected to pc, white LED constantly blinking at interval of few mili-seconds . And device is not recognized by flasher anymore. I didnt touched anything accept display fitting.

Before that opening, my phone booted once for few minutes.i was able to type and send a sms, and after 5-6 minutes display went black.
I even found in local market for display replacement. but could not find it. As no one use this device anymore here.
So any more suggestion as im open to try anything to make it working???

Just to be clear, all booting and connecting to PC issues have been resolved?

If the phone is always in "perfect" working order except for the display, it is a hardware problem.

You have to reflash it again I think or try to enter RD mode aka safe mode to see if you install something caused this flashing

you have to make the hard flash one not the normal one my friend

But dear i already flashed it three times. Every time after flash it shows nokia logo and then black screen. and sometimes it even boots for 3-5 mins with perfect working condition and then black screen. Now ill check about RD mode as u mentioned when i get back to home. As imaginaryenemy said it maybe display hardware problem, but if display is failed, it should not even shows nokia logo or boot up for 3-5 minutes..Damn weird phone.
edit what do u mean by hard flash? flasher -f -F main.bin is not hard flash?

I would try enabling R&D mode, this seems to have worked on at least a few cases where watchdog was issue.

Btw, did you flash both main.bin and EMMC image, if not, do try to flash both as there might be stuff on EMMC that is causing your issue.

Ok thanks bro, i will try first flashing both main and emmc. If nothing happens, ill try R&D mode. Ill search about R&D more here on TMO.

hi, i flashed both main and emmc by erasing device completely..but still no sign of life.
and when i connected to R&D mode, white led just turned on and stayed but screen was black, so i could not do anything..so i reverted back to production mode.
any idea why?

The "too many reboots" warning points to a software problem, the screen issues point to a hardware problem. Having two simultaneous, unrelated problems is VERY unlikely, but possible...

so it means im done with n9..ok, thanks for your support, ill try some more steps mentioned above again, otherwise ill put it into drawer later. screen replacement is quite expensive for me.

Too many reboots... I remembered while trying unrestricted system ui, i restarted my device at least 15 times everytime after making some changes in ui.. So finally i left my device unused for more than 28 hours , and then i reflashed it, and now its working fine since last 5 hours. No hardware issues. nothing.SO anyone having problem like this, keep calm, watch some movies and give some break to your device.
