Turn to silence=meego
i am reading user manual:
"Turn to silence If your phone rings in a situation where you do not want to be disturbed, you can silence the ringing tone. When your phone rings, turn your phone face down." i turn my nokia "face down" but it nothing happens, and still rings.:D..??? sorry for bad language :p |
Re: Turn to silence=meego
That is brilliant!
I ....myself ...usually start doing circles "turning" on the spot...but I'll have to try your method...sounds far less cardiovascular... |
Re: Turn to silence=meego
i am little stupid so write slow... i read slow :) and say what to do?

Re: Turn to silence=meego
ooooo-kkkkk...iiiiiiisssss ttttthhhhiiiissss beeeettttteeerrrr? :D
I like your method better. I was setting my device down and physically turning my own body in circles.... spinning on the spot..y'know ... "turn" to silence....get it? Ach...any way...I was just doing a play on words there ...and you are hardly stupid... but seriously now.......I suggest going into the "settings" and takin' a peep at your available methods of phone notification..vibration, beep, ring, and disturbing the equilibrium of the device to silence it. |
Re: Turn to silence=meego
a bog te jebo ...oš ti meni reć na koji način da okrenem jebeni telefon i da utiša ton :)
|
Re: Turn to silence=meego
no worries man...deep breath...my guess is ...you have disabled the silence feature (knowingly or unknowingly).....so when you turn it over...it still rings....
|
Re: Turn to silence=meego
you will have to go into system settings for phone functions and re-enable it.
Also ...as I said ...It is possible that the internal equilibrium sensor has been compromised and it may not matter what you do....since that sensor regulates that function... -If you cannot manually get into settings to modify it...and reinstate the setting... -Failing that...perhaps someone here knows some modest magik for you to try testing to determine if there is a fault in the sensor. -Failing that...worst case reflash...perhaps that would "reset" the function... -Really worst case take it in to a proper ...competent shop to get 'er fixed. |

Re: Turn to silence=meego
Ah!
Excellent method to induce a customer to purchase more accessories. :D Cheaper answer... Duct Tape ... the Handy-man's secret weapon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZDCBVy22W8 fix just about anything with it. |
Re: Turn to silence=meego
endso may be on to something. Take the phone out of all protective cases and use it as the manufacturer intended. Does the function work? If so, you have your answer. If not, look in the settings or check if your sensors work. I believe there are apps in Openrepos to check the device hardware but I cannot tell you the names because my N9 is currently not working.

Re: Turn to silence=meego
Hm...ah didn't quite understand the english there....actually if it is the possibility of the case impeding the sensor...ya ....take it out of the case...try it out...if it still doesn't work...and there is no method to change the setting in "settings" then ya...you need a diagnostic tool.
If it is the case impeding...locate exactly where on it that the sensor lies underneath ....mark that spot....take the phone out....grab an x-acto knife and cut that small section out of the case...voila! it should now work with the case on. Sadly though...no duct tape was used. :( As Red Green the duct tape expert says..."If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." |
