I hope you will be able to get some publicity for this. Is it ok if I menton this fundraiser on various discussion boards, like Finnish murobbs? Or would you rather be in control of your own visibility?

If majority of users gave you 1 Euro like say a cheap android app you'd be there. Hopefully eventually paid apps are supported. Even open projects like gpodder were paid in the OVI store, great if Jolla offered that in their store.

With Jolla Tablet the demand for more Sailfish native softwares will increase due to the new possibilties of the large screen, better CPU, more RAM, etc. The community need more developers and more time from them to develop for Sailfish. So let's help coderus, folks !

Even though I may be as broke as you, I contributed to your campaign. I've always used your apps and never had an opportunity to say thank you. Plus the fact that you deserve so much more my money than other stuff I still buy today!

Shhht please... My guess / hope : because he may loose his freedom to create great, useful software he and we really like?

That said, I have contributed a humble 10 Euro, even though I am not aware using any of the fruits of coderus' labour yet.

My money is at integrated SIP + Tox IM + Telegram + XMPP , whatever sensible people here find the best standard solution for complete, secure and future proof video / voice chat solution for Jolla and Maemo.

Yep, but i think, Jolla should hire Coderus. Even he is kind of cheeky sometimes :D. He is very talented and helpful.

@Coderus, did you send your open CV to Jolla? I think you should! I think they will know you already :cool:

Good idea! But it is not in Coderus' priority list.

I'd think you programmers could raise more cash on project basis? I'd fund the triple amount if it was to support something I need instead of "more cool stuff for Jolla" which could then be filled in be by 1 year development of the next Facebook client.
Cool stuff for Jolla is something Jolla should support, I am too poor for that.

Good points there, and I agree. At least, I hope so ;)
My 'child' is creating a flashable image for the Jolla device(s), but I will always listen to what users ask for, and when possible, try to help out.
I made the Toxic (commandline) client. I - at the moment - dont have enough skills for GUI stuff.
That, is also on my to-do list for the upcoming time.

very cool this is picked up with such enthusiasm! still have to pledge myself, but campaign is not yet over luckily!

maybe to please ste-phan and have better gauge for yourself in the future people could pledge on a certain app (or app category) so you have some indication on how to divide your time?
no idea if that is preferable for you.

@coderus, I wanted to jump on the bandwagon but I do not feel like creating an IGG account just for that purpose. Other than the option to have my name published by IGG, what is the difference between supporting you through IGG and directly to your PayPal account? Would you personally prefer one or the other?

@pichlo You dont actually need an account, but they will ask you for your email adress. Also, you can choose not to be listed (you will be listed as anonymous). As for using PP directly. That will give coderus more money, as IGG wont get paid ~10%

@pichlo supporting over igg is just to reach goal. If goal reached less fee will be applied after campaign ends.

@coderus Any plans on your upcoming apps?

I value your contributions (the list is quiet extensive), but I (unfortunately :) ) don't own a webOS TV and don't really care for any Whatsapp clients.

Skype - Hardly believe it will happen. Or, of course, if someone wants to face a hard take-down from MS.
Torrent - well, if coderus wants, transmission exist and he is free to use my package to create a better working GUI. It works good from commandline though ;)

That would be such a waste, just like Whatsapp. Coderus seems like a talented programmer, so wasting his time/talent on fighting with closed services that are (or will be) hostile towards unofficial clients instead of developing something open and awesome would be sad.
As Nieldk pointed out, there's already Transmission available.
Asking thp to include video playback in gPodder would make more sense, than a new application.
