Help CepiPerez to develop for SailfishOS
 

As you may all know, CepiPerez doesn't have a Jolla yet.
After some bad things that happened to CepiPerez, it's time to help this awesome developer to get a Jolla too, so he can also sail with us on SailfishOS, like he did with Maemo5 and Harmattan!

No thank you !! for all the great applications and time you devoted to the community..

i own a N900 a N9 and a Jolla and it is because of devs like you guys that i can keep using and enjoying all of my phones.. So once again Thank you.... (ps great work HTheB)

I hope so that he will catch the goal, because he is really really good developer every of his apps looks really nice and cool, had smooth UI and all best. Jolla need people's like him! I take this as an necessarily, and also for other's!

@Cepi I'm gonna ask the same question I asked Coderus:
What are your plans for upcoming apps?

All the apps you developed for Maemo 5/6 (as listed on the IGG page) already have some alternative on SailfishOS.

Anyways, good luck and thanks for your apps (even though I don't think I ever used any on my N900; maybe Filebox).

To be honest I have a much better feeling, donating for apps which are already there. Even if they are still in a very early state.

I think in all, it is great to see - bot me, coderus and CepiPerez getting some support from the community.
In CepiPerez case, I am happy to donate to help him out with his situation. I have very recently been in a very similar situation - from which I have somewhat recovered.

I have a questions. If he cant get a Jolla by shipping, how about bring a device to Argentina? Is it accept by Argentina airport?

If you take it out of the box, put in a SIM card and 'pretend' its yours. Probably no issues.

Even though I'm a poor student I chiped in 3€.
I just love your apps on the N9 and hope there will be some cool new ones released once I make the switch to Jolla.

Probably it would be helpful, if the CepiPerez would be a little bit more active here. He is a little bit silent recently.

I have used Filebox/FileCase, CallBlocker and Last.fm Radio in the past and they have all been great application. Thus I have, of course, contributed.
Even if he does not create a single new program, I am happy with what he has already given us for free (and if he will create something good for Sailfish I see that as a bonus).

What do you mean with active? I don't like to spam. I made this move because I have friends who want me to port my apps to Sailfish. If you don't want this, it's ok.

I hope you realize that he puts his free time on the apps. If he spends time on lurking and stuff over here, he would have much less time for the apps...

Yep. For example, the time spent discussing the Jolla Tablet MicroSD with exFat or not could be well converted to some software updates or even releases.

But there were some questions and i think it is not overcharged to answer that questions. Therefore this is a community. So you don't have to spam, just take part on a thread which was opened for you.

Ok sorry, I didn't answer about plans cause I thought I didn't need to.
I'll port filecase, flowplayer, last.fm radio and whatsup for sure, no matter if there's already a similar app.
Why? Because my apps fits all my needs.
After this? I don't know... what users needs and I think I need too.

Where are all of those whatsup users that were crying out for cepi's help every time whatscrap created another bug report? Could the mods/council not send a blanket email out to make folk aware of the fund raising for cepi and the others?

Actually, come to think about it, could there not be a community shout out to old time users who do not frequent tmo so often now?

Not going to ask how is he planning to obtain it. I have no problem with him spending the money on anything else, because developing takes a lot of time and one must eat.

Sorry if it sounded hostile, it wasn't my intention. I didn't knew about the tablet + phone promotion. Anyways, there's not enough for it. Take account I need to pay an extra 50% for taxes, plus shipment.

Yes, no jolla for poor countries :P

I've also bought 1 Jolla smartphone and someone from Europe sent it to me in Brazil. The same thing can be done for the tablet. Brazil has 60-90% of import taxes, higher than Argentina.

So, yes, it is possible to CeciPerez buy and receive a Jolla smartphone and/or tablet, with the community help and paying import taxes. But he needs to get enough money from the Indiego fundraising to cover Jolla smartphone/tablet price+transport (from Europe to Argentina)+import taxes.
