Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
I don't think so, I think it's just there because it was design or made right after the last N Series (N8 had it, don't know about E7). I think this might be one of the earliest N950 prototypes then..

Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
@rzr Actually rm-696 is the N9 (Lankku) and N950 (both prototype and developer device) is rm-680.

Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
I try this command:
flasher -f -F pr13.bin --erase-user-data=secure (overnight... I hope so...) How many hours if somebody tested it for full erase? When it will be finished i will let you know. thanks. |

Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
First error you should read rainisto's advice: device lock can only be reset by full reflash (i.e. incl. eMMC).
But due to the second error I am concerned your HW revision is not (anymore) included in PR1.3. Which Whic, btw, I think is the worst method to get an early development device to life again, please try with the earliest firmware of N950 you are able to find (afaik publicly PR1.1). |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
It might be that your proto device is so different from the stock N9 hardware that it requires a different SW base package and cannot be flashed with Harmattan PR1.3

Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
I try http://sourceforge.net/projects/n950...6.exe/download
http://hpics.li/cb77bba Success. But always freeze on this screen, http://hpics.li/9f7d223 And after reboot looping... Why? I will test others. |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")

Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
The only firmware works with flasher is OCF 22-6 but can't boot when turn on prototype.
Reboot all the time. Perhaps there is a solution to boot normally? |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
Is there an R&D mode for N9-00 prototype? It might switch off watchdogs, and thus prevent reboot loop.
Having reboot reason stated somewhere may help... Best wishes. |

From N900, I remember those two: 1. Does not shutdown-reboot just because watchdog said so; 2. keyboard backlight is used as indicator of system status - for system notifications. Actually... Wiki page As far as I know, I do not have it enabled. It just came to my mind as the 'easiest' way to get rid of reboots... Since flashing-everything is not enough. When you get to the filesystem, it would be helpful to find some kind of system logs which would state the reasons of reboots. Best wishes. |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
At least you found the FWs!
To extract the ocf image, just use 7zip. 22-6 is PR1.1 afair (without checking my safe ;)) I am not sure what one-click-flasher does but after extracting you will find some batch file(s) and it will reveal to you what it does. So probably it just flashes FW and you can use a manual full flash (with eMMC) and you are good to go ... |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
First i have tried to flash with 22-6.
After i tried all others versions. And now i have problem to reflash with 22-6. I will try to extract and flash with ubuntu with emmc. I will let you know about my progress. I hope it will be good. |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
Device is now with rd mode but same thing freeze at same screen. Why?
Full erase and updating SW release 22-6 success. But freeze. How can i do now? |

So, if you have not been able to flash the device, I assume it has the original content full in there, right? First I'd take of course backups of all partitions, before attempting anything. Usually tar works best as dd'ing the devices will create so large images as to be unnecessary. Then, I'd investigate what is the boot phase it hangs on, and for that the absolutely best tool is to enable serial console and monitor that when the device boots. |
Re: Nokia N9-00 Prototype Build B1.1 (RM-680 codename "Dali")
I have flashed the device. It's ok but now i want to pass screen freeze with nokia behind (check first picture).
how can i enable serial console and monitor? |
