Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
Hi guys. I am just reporting my phone as stolen from the 16th of May 2015, from Townsville, Queensland (Australia).
The phone has been reported to police along with the following IMEI number ... IMEI - 356938035426411 I have reported it to my carrier and they assured me the phone is blocked. However when I go IMEI searches on the internet, it's reported as CLEAR. Can someone please confirm if the above IMEI is blocked? I have also reported it to the 3gadgets.com and you can use that to confirm my name and contact details. Reward $$ for my phone back. Cheers |

Yet, this website says, that the IMEI is likely still valid;

But blocked ;) |
Re: Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
what if the thief simply was looking for a N900 to upgrade to a Neo900? Wouldn't this give a new IMEI as well?

Re: Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
99% of the thiefs just steals to resell it.... so the new owner might find out that it's blocked...

I was outbid on this one, looks like they got a good deal (especially if they used the 20% off coupon), anybody here own up to it? ;) Also, what do you think of this? |
Re: Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
hey elcaito,
If you're lucky you may end up buying your stolen one back... and if you are real lucky ...and you got a dense, lazy thief ..and it'll still have all your stuff on it. All cracks aside...only a philistine would steal a nit. I do wish you nothing but the best in finding a good replacement n900. |
Re: Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
Thanks for the support guys. As you can see, I now have another 2nd hand N900 in my hands! But this one probably has a back-cover sensor issue, as I cannot read SD cards on it (see other recent posts). Oh well, I got it for less than $30 so at least it's a phone, plays my music, etc, but it's limited to the internal 32gig ram.
Cheers from Australia |

Re: Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
have you check the magnet under the kickstand?

Re: Stolen Nokia N900 report - Australia
LOL... yesshhhh. Anyway, I fixed it now. I had to replace one of the .ko files in the kernel to ignore the sensor. And voila! N900 sees the memory card now.
Sorry, I meant 32gig external SD card. |
