In-between the lines, I read either hope in some candidate or a lack of understanding on how American politicians have disregarded the public that votes them in and self-serves their own agendas to the point of irritation to the masses.

Either way, the only way any of this will change is if the masses awake and put these professional crooks in their rightful place. Change? That's how it will come about. Not via votes, only via a show of unified rebellion.

This is perhaps the most uninformed thing I've read in a long time about our US politics. Allow me to make it even easier for you to understand:

Americans vote radically different every 4-8 years in a knee-jerk reaction based on the prior president because they fail to see that the words spoken by the other person running are thinly veiled the same as before. It's how we got Nixon twice; it's how we got George W. Bush in there twice. It's how we've shot the best presidents and we've allowed the worst free rein.

There's nothing else to it. You want to add colour, so be it. Then you're quite stupid to do so. It's all about saying words that comfort people into thinking they're different when in all; they're the same. They don't care about you. White, Black, Native American or Immigrant... politicians as a whole don't care if you live or die once they get your vote.

Nothing else needs to be added to that absolute truth; especially your racist commentary.

Three things are wrong with this statement. Allow me to correct you since you're wholly uninformed.

We didn't stop those extremists because we created those extremists. From before the Iran/Contra scandal to the Mujahideen to the Taliban which all birthed/fractured into ISIS/ISIL and Al Queda... America had a hand in all of that. So creating them is even worse than stopping them in my book.

We do not live in a democracy in the US. This is a democratic republic, which is not a pure form of democracy. Only saving grace is that we do elect by majority rule - but it's not a pure democracy.

Sigh. I'm being reduced to 7th grade US Politics now.

The man has been bankrupt 4 times, divorced 3 times and has really only been considered a viable candidate by those with less than a 2nd grade reading level - which is amazingly the majority of the US it seems.

The US is a republic that's abused their resources and has gotten to the point where they've become the global police and while in other lands, they fulfill their own agendas. Which has never really worked out well for the country they've been involved in short term.

Simply stated, we bomb first (that list is incomplete), suck out their resources (read: oil) second, seed discord third (take your pick), then use some rhetoric that will divide your country as badly as ours has been for the last 100 years and package it as "democracy". Then repeat...

US is nothing more than modern day imperialism under a pretty package of "freedom, democracy and three primary colors". I have no fealty to any country whenever I see the above as true.

So same as Bush, wow so much change and cringe. Obama was all talk and promises, guantanamo still operational, iraq still with US troops, afghanistan same... what exactly did that HUGE CHANGE change?
