Problems with battery after case changing.
Hello.
I have problem with my N9. After case change, phone after boot always shows 99% and after plug charger shows "Your power adapter is broken". USB connector is fine, because phone is visible in computer. Also after plug USB cable while phone is off, it isn't displays battery indicator, but turn on with message "Your power adapter is broken" and 99% of battery. Also, after case change, phone still displays indicator about set time. One time, phone displays 6% and began charge, but after change language, problems came back. How can I fix that? Product code: 059J187 bmestat result Code:
~ # bmestat |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Awhile back someone else had a problem after I think replacing the case.
They found their problem to be a metal cover inside the phone was shorting out something in the phone. I would suggest going back and checking your work to make sure that nothing is being shorted out. |

LED blinks twice, screen shows Nokia logo and LED lights brighter for few seconds and turn off. UPDATE! Sometimes phone shows information "Your Device doesnt working ... Please try to restore the firmware with Nokia Software Updater or connect the Nokia service.." Casue is: too much reboots. One time, phone displays battery icon with exclamation mark. |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Now you have two probs (or hopefully only another, more easy to solve).
Search for MALF state and solve manually. Or reflash. |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
For me, phone reboots, because battery is weak. Sometimes turns on, play weak battery sound and turn off.

Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Flasher shows 100%, but battery is completely discharged.
|
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
What about charging up and starting with connected charging cable (either by power button lomg press OR with 'flasher -r' using USB)?

Okay!
What about trying decouple battery? Press and hold power button for >=8 seconds. |

I tried that, but nothing happend. |

No, decoupling only makes sense with battery inside device! |

Not starting due to low battery? Get a new replacement one. Not starting with 'too many reboots' message? Reflash. Or? |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
I've connected N9 battery into my old LG GT540 and it's charging them, but...
battery percentage starts from 50-60%, drop down to 5-10% and up very fast to 100%. Different percentage values when screen turns on to check. While charger is unplugged, percentage drops to less than 15% in seconds. http://i.imgur.com/r2pjYHJ.jpg |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Then my option 1 :
get a replacement, as yours seems to be dead. |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Yes, dead battery without a doubt.
If I remember correctly the same battery is used at least with Lumia 800. |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Check this:
http://i.imgur.com/PD0Ewbp.jpg - output (with grey cable - 1.73V) http://i.imgur.com/aKgFfS6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/KVFUorq.jpg - main battery. Is that normal? I've checked old battery from my LG GT540, and same values are on output and main battery - 3.93V. |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
Reflash only a kernel, it should update the charge table (or however it is called). For some reason I had to reflash it several times, if I'm not mistaken.
Another thing you may run into is that everything works ok, but bmestat defines battery condition as UNKNOWN. I installed a new battery a few months ago and have the same output of bmestat, so it's kinda normal, I guess. |

In normal, would be "LI4V2" Mine is "ERROR" |
Re: Problems with battery after case changing.
How many times do you need to be told that your battery is dead?
