Hello,

I'm selling my collection of Nokia prototypes to raise money for other things.

N950 has dead pixels on the bottom left corner on the LCD, like most of the prototype N950's. Otherwise in very good condition. Pics can be found here: http://aijaa.com/GB0MG4 It's the first one in the pics. SOLD

Yeah - can't remember why I originally registered, probably for something 7700 related. Now it's time for me to sell the collection and move along so I remembered this forum and my login details.

If anyone thinks I'm a con-artist I'm happy to send photos of the items including a note with my username etc.

You don't happen to have a Lauta / RM-742 by any chance? You might be able to finance a whole Ducati with that...

Do you mean the differences between a prototype and a production model? Prototypes usually have a software that is still being under development so it might have some bugs and all functions may not work. There are usually also some hardware differences.

The N950 Developer version is very much different than the prototype. The proto has a curved edge glass and 64GB of ROM for example.

Interesting. What would be some of the software bugs and what functions do not work? Could this device be used to make calls and use the internet? Can you flash the image of the "production" model on these prototypes? Thanks again!

EDIT: Did you mean 64GB storage instead of 64GB ROM. Seems like a bit much for Read Only Memory!

But 512MB RAM instead of 1GB, Harmattan quite struggle to run on half RAM.

I used to have a prototype N950, and Yes, you can flash the production SW even PR1.3, the hardware is better than Black ones. Much robust build on slider. Unfortunately 512MB RAM ruined it...

I would love to have one to play with. But don't think I could make a competitive bid worthy of the device. Such a shame it did not come to fruition...

EDIT: Also, how much is the "Nokia N-Gage Dual Wireless Headset" and will it work with Android?

I have some crappy cell phone pics of everything but uploading them will take some time.

Send me an offer for the headset - I have not tested it with Android. I do have an Android phone so I can try them out, if they even work. They have never been used as far as I know.

Not going to lie, all those pictures brought tears to my eyes! Nokia always had the right idea! But it was almost always ahead of their time.. If they released those products now (if they didn't fail), they'd be all over the place.. What a shame, that they've wasted all that..

As far as I know all prototypes have 512MB of RAM.

Omg.
My wet dream is an N91 proto, unfortunately I'm poor right now, but it was nice too see all the pics of these interesting devices.
In their time, I had several of them (N-Gage and QD, N91 8GB, 5800, E70, E50).

I have not used any of these phones as my daily phone. The N950 is a beautiful phone but my all time favorites are 8910 and 7110.

N810 WiMax Edition still available. Not all of the phones are complete and/or working. The N810 is however fully functional and comes with battery, battery cover and stylus.

Then make me an offer :) I'm not sure if the phone works (or has a battery), but I can check if you are genuinely interested.

I don't have them as prototypes, just two pieces of 7110 with new housing parts. I haven't had many Nokias as my primary phone - a 6280 for a short while and the almighty N900 as well.
