Internet Audio - Download yes, streaming no...?
 

Hi,

I've some problems with internet audio, especially radio on demand files.


While starting radio on demand offers, media player starts, then I chose "streaming", but then displays "no server connection". If I chose "download", download starts with no problems... For example (in browser)
https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/ (press "hören" button below the pictures)

Also if I would like to listen a podcast with gpodder: Tap on "streaming" button, media player opens and then: No connection to server... Download is no problem...

Any ideas?

Don't know what you are doing wrong...
But I have no prob...at least with most streaming ...
Hell it still works on streamtuner for the n8x0's...
even stock media player works on the n8x0 for most streaming...
OSCP works fine...for streaming...I know it works fine on the n900...
I use it constantly for just that on my n900s

Are you using some kind of service that would impede ?
VPN ?
because something is funky there...
(and I don't mean cool "funky"....or in a good way "funky"....more like "smells bad funky"...)

Well, Live-Webradio on Media Player works fine. But I don't mean "Webradio". I mean such "audio on demand files", offered by some websites, like this:

"Open with Media Player" = Media Player starts, then "no connection to server", when I try to set a bookmark, then "invalid url" appears...

"Save on device" = Media Player starts, while tap on saved file.

No....I understood what you meant...as a fixed time limited broadcast ...as well...
such as the example of what you provided ...
or similar quasi - static services, like reuters news in bites, or such as your example (well longer in time ...but the same thing essentially)

and that saving ...then playing said download ...works...

but that simply playing the feed directly ...does not...
when in fact it should play ...

I keep thinking it is something impeding said connection ..
Especially if you are getting the same results from different applications that serve the same function.
