KaiOs

Is there any chance we could get KaiOs on the Nokia N900

Re: KaiOs

Maemo Leste works...
Kaios is unlikely to ever happen for the n900.

Re: KaiOs

Wasn't there somebthread/efforts for the N9? Try the forum/google search.
But N900? Nope.

Re: KaiOs

N9?
I can't recall...
Perhaps....

But yeah...the n900 is not going to happen.
It is just too old to handle it ...with specs too low and too much against it ever ever occuring.
May as well hope for a winning lottery ticket.

Re: KaiOs

Well there we go then.

I do recall looking into Kaios a while a go...on a completely different reason...
I like to take a good hard look at distros...
Try them out...see if I like them...see how they perform...
And I didn't care for what I found out.
I wouldn't use it...
Too much not done..

But that is me and my feelings on the matter.
Perhaps others will enjoy it...and find merit in it .....somewhere

Buntu touch ....out of so many other mobile distros...
has shown massive strides...
Probs they get are dealt with pretty promptly.
Good team...good community...
And is closer to being just an os to install ...use and enjoy...
Than any of the half baked or barely propped up distros running around right now...
If...that is...one wants to try a more functional.distro.that is different from droid or iphone ...UT is smooth and clean.

Re: KaiOs

great if you have a Nokia 8110 4g
great if you have a Qualcomm or Spreadtrum SoC with minimum 256MB RAM

Otherwise...

for now....
not so great if you have a TI OMAP 3430 or TI OMAP3630 SOC
