I'm new here. But not new to Maemo. I even started a group on telegram: https://t.me/meegoosinternational

It would be awesome if some of you followed :)

Oh man, I remember the day when a forum I frequent died once everyone went from it to facebook.

So although I appreciate your enthusiasm for MeeGo, Maemo, Sailfish, I'm not on telegram or intend to ever join, since it's a closed centralized service. I stopped at slack and will only do matrix/element/irc now.

So I only speak for myself and hold no ill will. Just hope this free, open, searchable resource of a place never goes away.

I joined the group today but just left it. I don't see a point to have a separate place from this forum. This forum is the right place for me.

Hello, the best way to help each other is by sharing information publicly. Each person asks and others respond. This is an exchange between a few people. What makes this exchange unique is that the information is registered there, in the forum. And, in this way, we all feed ourselves. Each person, regardless of being registered in the forum, can access that information and grow.

Thanks for creating the group! Can't hurt, I'd say.
I'm not sure it is aptly named though. Very few people will understand the interconnection between meego, maemo and sailfishos.
Maybe it's possible to rename the group? Maybe the keyword "mobile" is missing?
How about "mms-mobile-os"? - subtitle:
"MeeGo/Maemo/Sailfish Linux-based mobile operating systems"
...just a thought.

Not to knock your idea...
Buuuuut...
That sounds exactly like this place.
The diff between this place and your telegram ...
is ...non members can come and surf here and get what they need...
There is the garage...and plenty of other aspects that allow for collaboration as well as work space...
And more.
Your group ...albeit great and wonderful to do...
Doesn't offer much of what this forum and site does..

Hi, long time...

Once, I tried Telegram on my computer:
I entered my phone number (I dislike)
On the first seconds, a lot of friends or known peolpe's names displayed. I was surrounded. Instantly.
And they all were notified I was here.
Frightening!
I ran away...
