[Announcement] New Telegram group for Maemo 5/MeeGo 1.2 users
 

Hello everyone :)
I decided to create a new Telegram group for Maemo/MeeGo. Mainly for tips & tricks. But anyone can join, and ask for help also ;)
I have some knowlegle about this mobile OS-es. I want to create a friendly place, where I can share my knowledge, where ANY person can ask for help, and receive it.

I know, there already exists group for Maemo/MeeGo/SFOS created by Matthias VDS.. The reasons, I created new:

1. I had an argument with its founder, and as a result I was banned from all his groups. I have lost the opportunity to voice and share my insights etc. I know, this is a forum. But still, a lot of people prefer these "candy" instant messaging to serious internet forums :)
2. The existing group focuses generally on these three systems. Mine, on the other hand, focuses only on two systems, which are Maemo 5 Fremantle and MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan.

If any TMO's admin/moderator want to join, I can make him admin right now ;)

If many people will think it's bad idea - OK, I can close or archive it at any moment. But I already gave much info in it, it wouldn't be very great to just leave it :D

So, this is how I finish my lengthy post. Whoever wants, let him join without fear, who wants to be an admin, write on priv to me ;)

They are not helping neccessary on what you are after.


But you would have knowhow and stuff to share. You can of course do it here also and share on a thread that replicates the telegram group and the info can be then copied to telegram group.

Hm, Telegram needs phone number even for regtstering. You can set in your account's settings to not show your number in private chats and public groups

I have a problem trusting free things that ask me informations.

Me too, if I can, I try to share as small number of data, as I can.
For example, I have Discord. I had an option to add phone number - of course, haven't added. The same in Google services, I always bypass this option

It took me two years to give up my number to Signal. It still doesn't get access to my contacts.

So, yeah, not so sure about Telegram right now.

It sounds like a cray-cray idea now...
But ...
How about a Maemo 5/ MeeGo 1.2 users Group on a decade + trusted platform...
Called TMO Talk?
Oh wait...I think it already exists..
Or perhaps an IRC channel for those demanding immediate comm with one another?
Oh wait....I think it also already exists...
I hear both are quite safe to communicate with and neither require your phone number...

Just a thought.

Oh and for those REALLY cute female TMO members out there...
If you REALLY feel that it is imperative to share your phone number, just send it right on over to me.
