N900 battery calibration

I have followed this guide to calibrate the battery:

Still the charging routine doesn't seem to work properly. When obviously fully charged ("100%"), the device still keeps charging (battery animation, orange LED glowing on and off). I am worried to destroy the battery...

There is no risk for the battery. Charging works fine, the animation is just a bit buggy.
