Hi,

any chance to install both applications and have
maemo-xkb-plugin to make a selection between standard maemo keyboard and transparent keyboard ?

This is a Status Bar plugin that can be used to change between two keyboard layouts for your hardware keyboard. The package includes a Control Panel applet to select the preferred layouts. It has been tested with a USB keyboard and an N800 device.

If I understand correctly (I didn't install it) maemo-xkb-plugin allows one to change the *keyboard layout* (and it's only for hardware/external keyboards?), not the keyboard that you use.
On the other hand the transparent keyboard a part of the osso-xterm app (works only in osso-xterm), so no other app benefits from it.
So no, they wouldn't work together.
