nooB question

How do I kill a program on the N800 similar to what the 'end program' option does in windows? Sometimes I get an application that freezes and refuses to close and the only thing i can do is power off.

Thanks for the help.

Well there's the GUI way, and the command line way. Via osso-xterm you would type: kill <process_id> for the process id of the app you want to kill. Usually you find this out with the 'ps' command.

On the GUI side, I use osso-statusbar-cpu which is a little monitor, and provides the ability to kill application (assuming they are taking up lots of memory or cpu).

hope this helps,

Craig...
