Help Installing Python 2.5 please?
I am trying to install Python 2.5 on my N770 and i think i must be doing something wrong. I am getting a message saying,
Unable to install python 2.5-runtime Packages missing: python2.5-bluez>=0.9.1-losso3 I have installed the first file from here http://pymaemo.garage.maemo.org/installation.html, but when i try to install the 2nd file, i get that error message. Do i need to install something else before i try to install those files, or is there anything else i should be doing before i try to install it? Thanks. |

You can find several versions (the latest appears to be 11) of python at: http://repository.maemo.org/extras/p...e/p/python2.5/ I hope this helps, Craig... |

Re: Help Installing Python 2.5 please?
While I don't have my IT yet, in general what this means is surf to the link, right-click on the .deb file in question to download it to your device, then open up a terminal session.
Once at a terminal prompt you'll issue the command: "dpkg -i filename.deb" as root. This installs the application contained within the "filename.deb" file. Deb files are the debian method of building software packages for installation. Other linux extensions you'll come across are .rpm,tar.gz and .tgz Jeff |
