Stowaway Keyboard
Well, I'm loving my N800 more and more...
I ordered a Dell-branded Stowaway BT Keyboard from MobilePlanet : http://www.mobileplanet.com/p.aspx?i=150080 and couldn't be happier. With shipping it was $72, but the Amazon price was $95 for the same item! Its working flawlessly with the N800 and will fit perfectly into a labcoat pocket when I'm at work. Several months ago I bought an Apple BT keyboard for my Mac Mini HTPC, but I'm tempted to sell it on ebay and just use the Stowaway. Jeff |
Re: Stowaway Keyboard
The only disadvantage I believe is the stowaway only pairs to one device at a time... but yeah, N800+good BT keyboard = fun.

I have two devices (perhaps three, if we count my Mac Mini), that will be using the Stowaway. I don't see using more than one device at a time. Jeff |
Re: Stowaway Keyboard
Not a big deal, just annoying to switch them back and forth. If its paired with your mini and you pick it up and stuff it in your pocket to use with your N800, you have to re-pair with the N800. When you go back to your mini, you have to re-pair with the mini. The back and forth is just slightly annoying. Some of the pricier bluetooth headsets support multiple pairings, it would be nice if a keyboard could do the same. You just pair it with all devices and it can be used with any.

Re: Stowaway Keyboard
How would that work?
Type on 3 computers at the same time? |
Re: Stowaway Keyboard
You pair them in order of preference of who you want to connect to first. It tries the first on the list and if no response then it tries the second. A key combo forces it to go to the next one on the list (sort of like a KVM switch, only wireless).
