garage download not working?
 

I need gPooder quite urgently:
my current installation failed (opens and closes immediately), so I thought I delete it and make a fresh install. Now I am unable to download the gPodder package from garage.maemo.org:
last night, I downloaded to 99% and then failed to finish, today the screen is just blank, and every other way to download (even from my PC with >save as) does not work.

Are you also experiencing those problems? can someone please point me to another link for the download (Google found nothing...)

BTW: I tried PODSYNC in the process, it installs, I insert podcast feeds, but shows no available podcasts (but there ARE podcasts, I see it in every other feedreader...). so no podcasting for me at the moment -(((((

I tried like 5 different apps and none of the d/l's work, looks like the garage has a bug

The same, when downloading using my N800. After it is saying "95%" or "99%" it jumps back to 0% and starts again, after that it stops on some random place, for example "35%". Resume does not help, repeating all this cycle again. And file size on disk does not match percents either.

Downloading using desktop computer works fine. I would think that the bug is in maemo.

Similar problems here. I trashed my N800 and after a reflash I needed to install ssh and xterm. The website failed, but finally, red-pill mode worked.

It's a tablet thing I suspect...

I downloaded the deb's to my desktop when I encountered this behavior. I then transfered them to the tablet via USB and they installed fine with the Application Manager. (>Application, >Install from file...)

Yep https://garage.maemo.org/ is down
even trying to view programs in http://downloads.maemo.org/downloads/OS2007
brings up a server 500 error, so it's not a tablet thing...

It's definitely down. Not a tablet thing. Occasionally it's surfacing and then gone. Probably someone is doing some work on the server or something. Better check back tomorrow, or in a few hours.

Download section is in an update process. It should be done today.

So the Website should be up today to be able to start downloading Apps again? Last night I had a lot of trouble getting things to work from Maemo.com.
