800: can't install skype
 

I've tried installing skype from both the application manager and from the skype website. Either way, I get an error in the log about losing the connection with the main repository.

Any advice?

The maemo.org repos were down/flaky yesterday.

Post the actual error message here. Nobody is answering because there's not enough data to give one.

I couldn't install Skype for weeks.
Only a "apt-get install skype-ui" as root in xterm solved the problem.
I had the same problem with openssh.
