xterm: is there an up arrow?
Is there any way of generating an up arrow in xterm?
Or any other way to recall and edit previous commands. (without using lots of !#//^ characters) |

try the up direction on the d-pad.

Those control chars in the right-hand vertical panel can also be used:
ctrl-p : up (p=previous) ctrl-n : down (n=next) |

And don't forget the back/escape button (just below the d-pad) if you are using vi.
