I couldn't resist going to the list of 500 fortunate applicants for a discounted Nokia N810 and comparing Karma values.

I know only a few names on the list, and checked only a dozen or so. I wasn't surprised to see Florian Boor had 163 (104 bugs reported!) or Gustavo Barbieri, the Brazilian nonpareil, had 205.

Clearly Karma was only one factor in making the final cut because Nikolay Pultsin, the most obvious choice on the entire list (to my thinking), has a Karma of 3?

Maybe developers need downloads of their apps counted, with 1 Karma point per thousand. Or Karma points for value of application. Either way, the developer of FBReader would then be at the top of the list, I'd say.

But who among these 500 has the highest Karma? Anyone run across higher recorded Karma than Gustavo's?

PS: Karma of 21 for me. Obviously I'm spending too much time with my kids this year. :-)

Most of my points are for the applications listed on the downloads page. All of them work in OS2006 and OS2007. In addition, all are hosted in the garage.
Some points for comments in news, mailing-lists, my blog posts, etc.

But I think that the karma wasn't counted for the program. The karma system still isn't as representative for that.

I had a karma of only 4, however that was because something's wrong with the calculations because it missed my 35+ bugs filed and other stuff.

yea I've filed a few bug reports and got NO karma for them, so not sure whats up there, so far I got 7 Karma LOL
