Concept: Maemo JavaScript extensions?
So, the iPhone has a series of extensions that allow you to access some things that aren't normally available (or normally present) on a browser.
Would there be interest in an extension that lets webapps call the address book and GPS APIs (probably other maemo-specific APIs later on, too)? Of course, there would be an (always/allow once/deny once/never) popup for each API and domain, maybe even once for read and once for write. I'm fairly sure nobody's written anything like that yet, but if anyone knows a standard for doing so, send it my way --- lots of devices integrate GPS, and lots of people use online maps... |

I would be fairly interested in integrating these kinds of extentions into Jablet.
