what does this means? what i have to do in this part,,completely NEWBIE
im trying to flash my n800 to be like a new one, i want to erase everything and start from 0, but i dont understand this part, i downloaded the flasher to my xp and to the n800, neither open it, nor the other file, .bin.

help pleaseeee



PC: Execute as root (or as a normal user with rights to use the USB port):
./flasher-3.0 -F RX-34_2007SE_4.2007.38-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R

With linux. Only. Use a live linux cd, or wait for the supported version to come out in December.

somewhere in the OS2008 forum there are steps to do this from inside an Ubuntu Live CD.

To reflash OS2007 on your N800 from windows, follow the instructions on the following page http://europe.nokia.com/A4305010

jaharkes has it right. Unless you really want to jump the gun and get OS2008 before the official release, you are probably better off staying with OS2007 and using the instructions jaharkes linked to.
