Youtube is "testing a player that detects the speed of the viewer's Net connection and serves up higher-quality video if viewers want it."

Will this be a feature of Youtube or of Flash Player 10?

It seems like it's got nothing to do with Flash per se. The new YouTube player software will, apparently, detect the connection speed and deliver files of quality suited to that connection speed.

If you opt-out via youtube settings, would this carry over as you switch from device to device?
