Wayfinder displays speed in km/h

While I have no problems with the metric system per se, I am having an issue with Wayfinder displaying my speed in km/h rather than mph, regardless of whether I set it to metric or imperial measurements.

Has anyone else had this problem? I did a search but came up with zilch.

N800 OS2008b.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure I'd also want to have MPH displayed if I were in the States, but the conversion of 1.609x (miles to km) is an easy "1.5x + a bit" calculation done in your head. Unless you're breaking the land speed record, this rough calculation lands you very close to the exact conversion since you're working with small numbers.

Or, I could just look at my speedometer

Thanks for the input.

Erm, you were the one who asked, so I made the obvious assumption that you need the GPS to function as your speedometer. A car isn't the only kind of vehicle, and many kinds don't have speedometers: bicycle, boat, kayak, etc..

So, thanks for the eye-rolling emoticon.

If the imperial setting doesn't change it to mph from km/h it sounds like a bug, and should be reported.

Hehe. There's no way to do that. :)

It's just to open a bug in bugzilla, no?

I've noticed it too. It seems to be a bug. This was the n810 firmware on an N800.

You're right, that was a bad assumption on my part. I apologize.
