Text is being entered backwards??
 

If I use ITT on my n800, 2008OS (Original Not beta) and I do a search on the Forum.

It brings up the little search dialog box, when I hit the text box with my stylus, the keyboard pops up and I can no longer see the search dialog box, then I start typing "cdrom" If I minimize the keyboard or hit enter I will see it typed in "mordc" or cdrom backwards.

This is repeatable and perhaps has already been pointed out, but I did a seach and could not find anything?

Can anyone else confirm this? Is this happening on n800 2008OS Beta also? Perhaps I should upgrade, but I figured I would wait for real release.

I'm running the N800 OS2008 beta, and the little search dialog box won't even appear for me.

EDIT: Nevermind, the search box just appears out of view further down the page. And disappears when I click on it. And reverses the search text. Overall, very useful.

As I pointed out in the original post, I did a search but did not find anything. I searched for "backwards" he used the term "mirrored" so I missed it. I suppose its my fault, I should have searched for wierdness :D You Know, if I could ;)

I have seen the same backwards problem on my n800 with os2008 beta. It happens all time for me so it is very reproducible fir me.

I can see this also with 44-4 beta firmware.

But with newer firmware (not available for most of you... :p) it works correctly. :)

But still the newest beta I have it is still hard to open the search: When you click on it the window pops up below so that you need to scroll down the page. And when clicked on the field the on screen keyboard does not come up. Once opened manually with center D-pad button the search window closes. Fortunately the keyboard keeps showing and second click on the search button opens the window and search can be typed in.

That means they fixed it, too bad the search dialog is still goofy, but at least I wont have to type things in backwards :)
