Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
What have you done with your great little 770 since upgrading?
I recently saw them for $119.US on woot.com. |
Re: Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
Well. I haven't upgraded. :o
When I do, I'll most likely give it to my GF (who'll never use it) or longterm loan it to a friend of mine in the hopes they'll get a newer one themselves once addiction sets in. |
Re: Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
I just got upgraded to an n800 (buy.com deal + gift card + coupon = 110 bucks out of pocket :)) and although my 770 isn't used as often, I'm still tinkering with it with the hacker edition.

Re: Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
N770 is now my sons tablet (mainly running gizmo) ... N800 is sitting in a drawer after being updated to OS2008 (not sure what will happen with it yet) ... N810 is taking center stage for the future.
.....unless the price of a Asus EEE in the UK drops enough ;) |
Re: Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
I'm waiting to see how Canola V2 runs on the 770. Then try OS2007HE. Then maybe one day OS2008HE :-)

Re: Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
After some time with OS2007HE, my 770 runs the latest OS 2006 again. It's now an eBook-Reader and testing unit for getting my software to work on it. I also use it sometimes for webbrowsing because I miss the solid Opera engine on OS 2008 (microb is not there yet, IMHO).

Re: Now you've upgraded, is 770 lonely?
Nah, slightly less used, yes, but both my 770s still get their time in as ebook readers and couch browsers (one on nightstand and one on the coffee table). I recently set up an mpd server on my G5, and 770s make for fantastic playback controllers with mmpc!
