Reading from pl2303 (GPS-Receiver) fails
Hi there,
its some time ago when I first asked that question: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ghlight=pl2303 But since noone was able to answer that question within the troubleshooting-sub-forum I'll try again here. The second reason for re-asking is the new OS I installed some days ago: OS2007HE I flashed my device to HostMode again and it notices my gps receiver as pl2303 mapped to /dev/ttyUSB0: Code:
[ 188.581115] USB cable connected I can open the serial port. I can set it to 4800 baud. When I try to cat it to the console I just get nothing. On my laptop it works perfectly with the same commands. Does anyone has an idea what might be the problem? Thank you for reading, Timo EDIT: Ok, I must add that Ubuntu doesn't know about the stty speed option, so I needed to use minicom to get a working serial output. But anyway, it works under Ubuntu. ANOTHER EDIT: I downloaded this driver packege but replacing every installed module by the ones under ../usb/serial doesn't help. |

So, does minicom work on your 770 then?

Not jet, but I hope to get it working this afternoon.
But I guess, that it won't work eighter, because MaemoMapper cannot read the gps signal. We will see, hopefully :) |
