heavyt whoever you are thanks a million for the invite u sent me. Now I need another one because I wasnt in the U.S when I used it and grandcentral is only available to US and Canada. My invitation is not valid anymore! I NEED ANOTHER ONE :)

Just to let you know, I went to register on the grandcentral site without an invite, and selected the option to reserve a number. About a week later, I got an invite straight from Google.

If anyone has a spare one I would be greatful. I've 'reserved' one but no luck yet.

I am sure you need a US phone number to have a GC acount.

i got mine from www.grandcentralinvite.com
and then gave away two invites to that service. pretty neat.

Yes, you're right. Baloo will need to get a local US (contiguous) number. No international yet as far as I know.
