Problems with Nokia 770
 

Hi,

I have got a few problems with my new Nokia 770.

1
In my school we got a WLAN network. It has a squid proxy server and requires authentication (username and password). In the connection settings I only can set up, that there is a proxy.
Opera(?) notices that and asks me, who I am.
Pidgin doesn't but works anyhow(!?).
And everything else does not work, the application manager even says in the logs a proxy authentication was required, but it simply doesn't want to ask me.
What can I do?

Many applications I download don't work, crash after a time or some important functions don't work.
What can I do?

I flashed the firmware.
The wizard told me to make a backup before, so did. Then it told me to restore the data, because everything was gone, including applications and settings. But the device pretends not to find my backup.
What can I do?

three examples:
gpe calendar crashes sometimes and it doesn't close when i click the x.
doom does not save or load games.
horizon sometimes crashes the whole device and runs very unstabe. it never saves the last work correctly and when I start it, it shows a mix of my last pictures, so I have to erase everything.

I am in Germany and have yet to get internet on my 810 at home or at any hotspots. nokia helpline could not help any, and say there appears to be a block of some sort.

YYY do you have any idea if there is a block of any sort? I am in Wiesbaden area.
