No (!) out-of-the-box music & video playback
 

I am a new owner of the nokia n810 tablet, and it works great except for one essential part.
It does not playback any video or music. Not even the ones supplied with the tablet. The mediaplayer does nothing, it just displays the library and pushing the play button does nothing. als other mediaplayer like canola2 won't play the songs.
I also noticed that the internet radio won't play (the provided radio links won't work)

I've got the OS 2008version 1.2007.42-18

does anyone had the same experience with their tablet? Is it a hardware problem with my device? Do I need to download extra software drivers or is the solution to upgrade to the latest os-version?

I had the same problem when I first got mine, but updated to the latest firmware and it worked fine.

I've used an N810 with the same OS version and had no such problem.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
The volume's not muted, is it?
Does anything happen in the UI at all (e.g. progress bars, timers, error messages)?

If all else fails, there's a new OS release out now - try upgrading.

Well that was a quick fix. A simple reboot was the answer.

(that is usually a windows solution :) )
