claws-mail with vCalendar plugin and GPE calendar integration?
 

Anyone using the vCalendar plugin with claws-mail? It is actually very nice. At first I thought it doesn't work, but then I noticed I have to activate it in the plugin preferences of claws-mail first. Among other things, I can now view and respond to vCal meeting invitations in emails. This is fine, and claws-mail even has a built-in mini-calendar showing the events, allowing for notifications etc.

What I would really like to have, though, is my scheduled events to automagically show up in my GPE calendar! But they don't.

I found that the vCal plugin can be configured to export the events to a local *.ics file. Very nice! Even better, I can import the file in GPE calendar via File->Import, and it works. But I cannot automate the process, as GPE calendar only allows subscriptions to vCal-feeds via http, not off the local file system.

Any ideas?

Excellent idea.

I have been always looking the calendar folder created from outlook and wondering how difficult it would be to read it and display it in a calendar application.

This folder is always updated (through IMAP) and will be simpler to be kept always synchronized between the PC and the n8x0.
