Is nicrob the default wev browser installed on OS2007 and OS2008, or it is a different browser wich installed later?

What is the preferable a best browser to use on N800 OS2008?

os2007 comes with Opera, but MicroB can be added as well if you install it. os2008 comes with MicroB and there is no optionn for Opera. I prefer MicroB personally, as it can handle more complex sites and can use plugins like AdBlock.

Well, version of MicroB (0.8) for N800 is disaster. Mosts sites I use regurarly are massacred, hangs too often and usually closing of one window takes down all others.

Lack of alternative for OS2008 is for me major point against upgrading.

That is strange, I still use OS2007 on my N800 and Microb reports it is version 1.0.1? It doen't have the symptoms you describe.

Application manager says it is version 0.8 and see no updates.

I've had the same problems experimenting with microb on my N800, version 0.0.8-4 according to app manager. Doesn't work well at all, webpage text all over the place, layouts screwed up, hangs and crashes etc. But Opera isn't too good either, I have problems with it deciding it doesn't want to access certain links... Awkward to use. :(
